Attendance
First Day/Week Absences:
If your student is not able to attend the first day of school (Thursday, 8/8/24), a parent/guardian must notify our office. If a student is absent for the first 5 days of school and there has been no notification by parents or anyone on the student’s emergency contact list, the student is at risk of being dropped from Leland. School staff will make every attempt to make contact with the student within the first 5 days. If the student is dropped, you will need to reapply for a new school assignment at the SJUSD enrollment center.
Absence Reporting:
All absences must be reported to the school using the online Leland Absence Form, Parent Square or email LelandAttendance@sjusd.org
Student Checkouts:
A Parent must physically check out their student on campus. Emails, notes and phone calls will not be accepted.
Parents are encouraged to use Infinite Campus Parent Portal (IC) to access your student’s daily attendance record. It is imperative that contact information, phone numbers and emails are up to date in your student’s IC account. Absence reports and student checkouts will be verified using this information. This information may be updated using your parent portal account. If you do not have a parent portal account, please use this link to establish one.
