Athletics

The Leland Athletic Department is committed to enriching campus life through a program of interscholastic athletics and to promoting the development of qualities in the student-athlete that will serve the participating individual and the community.

Towards that end, the department offers competition for boys and girls as part of the educational program of the school. Currently the department offers 29 programs consisting of 54 teams, with a staff of over 100 coaches. In any given year, over 1,000 students participate on a Leland athletic team.

Requirements for Athletics Participation

Leland High School will no longer use Register My Athlete for athletic clearance. All student-athletes participating in any sport during the 2026-27 school year must register through Home Campus.

Getting Started

1. Visit Home Campus (www.homecampus.com)
2. Select Leland High School
3. Create your account and enter the required student information.
4. Be sure to select your student’s current grade level.
5. Sign up for all sports your student may be interested in participating in during the school year.

Important Notes

This process is different from middle school registration and from the system used in previous years at Leland.

Information from Register My Athlete will not automatically transfer to Home Campus. All families must create a new account and complete a new registration in Home Campus, even if your student has previously been cleared through Register My Athlete.

Initial team rosters will be generated from Home Campus registrations, so it is important that all prospective athletes register as soon as possible.

If your student does not yet have a current sports physical, you may complete the registration now and upload the physical at a later date.

Physical forms can be scanned and uploaded directly into the Home Campus system.

We encourage all families to complete registration early to ensure student-athletes receive timely communication from coaches and are included on preseason and team distribution lists.
