What is ASB? This year’s Leland ASB is aimed toward promoting a better school society by teaching leadership amongst ASB members, creating a warm relationship between staff and students and uniting all students as a student body. Our motto is “Stand tall and reach a hand out to all.” Our organization consists of a diverse population numbered around 120 members. Members are expected to work as leaders and responsible student citizens. ASB is divided into different divisions responsible for a particular school activity, such as entertainment, culture, fundraising, environment and charity. The chairs for each division oversee all projects in their respective divisions. Project leaders head up the projects within each division. Members freely sign up for any projects that they are interested in. In order to receive credit for ASB, there is a requirement for the number of projects that are done each grading period.
